Everything you need to know about working with a Manchester-based video producer — from first brief to final delivery. Can't find what you're looking for? Just ask.
Video production costs vary significantly depending on scope, crew size, locations and post-production requirements. A half-day social content shoot starts from £400, while a full commercial production can run to £25,000+. The most useful starting point is always a conversation about what you actually need — not a price list.
Both. Day rates work well for clients who have their own production framework — typically agencies or experienced in-house teams. Fixed project packages suit brands that want a clear, all-in cost from the outset. If you're not sure which suits you, the pricing page explains both in detail
Day rates start from £450 per day, with half-day rates available for shoots up to four hours. Rates vary depending on kit requirements, crew, and the complexity of the production. Travel within Greater Manchester is included.
Yes. Retainer packages are available for brands producing regular content across video production, photography and social selling. Retainers include discounted rates, priority scheduling and a quarterly content strategy session. Ask about availability when you get in touch.
A deposit is required to secure your shoot date, with the balance due on delivery. For larger productions, staged payment plans can be arranged. This is something we can discuss during the project scoping call.
Yes - reduced rates are available for registered charities and non-profit organisations. Get in touch with details of your organisation and project, and we'll work out something fair.
Every project follows roughly the same arc: discovery call → brief and quote → pre-production (script, storyboard, location scout) → shoot day(s) → post-production (edit, grade, sound) → review rounds → final delivery. The exact shape depends on the project. Podcasting, AR and livestreaming have slightly different workflows — each service page walks through the specifics.
No. A rough idea, a challenge you're trying to solve, or even just a budget range is enough to start a conversation. The brief develops collaboratively — that's part of what you're hiring for.
For a standard single-day shoot with a full edit, expect 5–10 working days for a first cut. Larger productions, motion graphics, or augmented reality deliverables take longer, and timelines are agreed at the brief stage. Rush turnarounds are available for an additional fee, depending on availability.
The Essential package includes one round of revisions. The Production package includes two rounds. The Campaign package includes unlimited revisions within the agreed scope. Additional revision rounds outside your package are charged at an hourly rate agreed in advance.
Yes. Scriptwriting, storyboarding and full creative direction are available as part of the pre-production process. If you have a draft script or creative concept, that works too — the level of creative involvement is entirely up to you.
Based in Manchester with a studio in the City Centre. Available for shoots across the UK - travel and accommodation costs outside Greater Manchester are agreed in advance and itemised separately on the quote. International projects are also considered.
Both. Smaller productions — social content, headshots, interviews — are typically shot solo or with a single assistant, keeping costs lean and logistics simple. Larger productions can be crewed up with trusted camera operators, sound recordists, lighting technicians and production assistants as the brief requires. I’ll always be in overall control of a larger crew, though. Crew costs are always itemised transparently in the quote.
Yes. Full public liability insurance is in place for all productions. Drone operations are conducted under a valid CAA authorisation and are also separately fully insured. All necessary permissions are obtained prior to any aerial shoot. Documentation available on request.
Primary cameras include the Blackmagic URSA and PYXIS cinema cameras, Nikon Z7ii and the Lumix S5M2X. Stabilisation via DJI Ronin RS3 Pro. Aerial footage shot on DJI Mavic 4 Pro. Audio via DJI and Rode microphones. Lighting via Aputure equipment. Post-production in DaVinci Resolve Studio and Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and so on.
On delivery of final payment, full usage rights for the agreed deliverables transfer to you. Raw footage and project files remain the property of Bentley Studios Manchester unless a separate raw footage licence is agreed. Usage rights cover digital and online use as standard — broadcast, out-of-home and paid advertising rights are available and priced depending on scope and duration. Request a quote for your specific needs.
Final deliverables are provided as H.264 or H.265 MP4 files optimised for digital and web use as standard. ProRes masters, broadcast-spec files, and platform-specific exports (Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn) are available on request. Photography delivered as high-resolution JPEGs with web-optimised versions included.
Yes. NDAs and confidentiality agreements are available on request and routinely signed for corporate, product launch and sensitive brand work. Just flag this when you get in touch.
Direct access to the person doing the work — from first call to final delivery. No account managers, no briefing chains, no markup on subcontractors. You get faster decisions, cleaner communication, and a single point of creative accountability. The trade-off is capacity — for very large, multi-stream productions, a larger production company may be more appropriate.
Every project starts with a free 30-minute discovery call — no obligation, no hard sell. It's an honest conversation about your project, your budget, and whether I'm the right person for it. If I'm not, I'll say so and point you somewhere better.
